No.

Lincoln was a civilian, 52 years old. As President he commanded the military and naval forces of the United States, but he did not lead them in battle.

His only military service was many years earlier: a month or so as commander of a militia company during the Black Hawk War of 1832. His company never saw any hostile Indians.

During the Civil War, Lincoln did come under fire on one occasion. On July 11, 1864, a small Confederate force which had slipped through western Maryland approached the fortified lines around Washington. Lincoln went out to Fort Stevens to observe the skirmishing. A Union soldier standing nearby was hit by a stray bullet. Supposedly, future Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, jr, then a captain in the Army, saw Lincoln peering over the parapet, and shouted "Get down, you damned fool, before you get shot!" (Holmes hadn't recongnized the President, but he could see he was a civilian.)

No, Abraham Lincoln was the President and the Commander in Chief during the Civil War. He never did pick up a gun and go out onto the battle front.

then again, if you consider all he did from his position in the White House then yes, he did quite a lot of fighting in the Civil War. Since it was not recommended that the president got out onto the battlefield, he had a rather tiresome and frustrating job of keeping what was left of the nation together.

So in some cases, yes, he never fought in the war. In others, he was one of the best men fighting.
No, he was in the office of President.

But he did experience a narrow escape when Washington DC was briefly threatened by Confederate cavalry. (Someone managed to push him out of the way of a falling wall.)
