Hitler was certainly not the only person to blame. He had quite a number who willingly followed him and shared his ideals, goals and partook in his murderous actions. He is the one central figure who many remember when they look at what happened but a balanced view will acknowledge the part that many others played such as Himmler, Goebbels, Goering etc.
Prior to the war the depression was in many ways outside of his control as was the situation regarding the reparations for WW1. Dietrich Bonhoeffer while in the US before the war specifically mentioned widespread resentment in Germany against the requirements of the Armistice and particularly the reparations burden.
Hitler took advantage of this and other factors to build his image as a German Nationalist and eventually seize power. But he was not alone and could never have achieved all he did alone.
For the economic problems, Hitler made service in the army mandatory, so lots of previously unemployed people were no longer unemployed. He also expanded some larger firms. He tried to make Germany a self-sufficient country, meaning there was little imported. This helped boost the economy after the inflation, and the drastic reparation due to WWI.
1. Failure of Weimar Republic 2. Personality of Hitler - Hitler was very charismatic and was able to manipulate people through his speeches. 3. Treaty of Versailles - but not so much because msot people were over it by then 4. Economic crisis after the Wall Street Crash - Hitler was seen as the last hope when so many people were unemployed and in poverty.
Hitler was not a shy person. He spoke out to Germany and convinced them that he could solve all their problems. Part of the reason so many people listened to him, was because of his coaxing and demanding words.
He worked to become a popular person, ran for office, and was elected President of Germany. Germany was in an economic depression ,with incredibly high inflation and unemployment. He convinced the German people that he would be their savior.
He got into power by telling the German people what they wanted to hear (their problems weren't their fault; the Jews did it to them, and their ancestors weakened the race by interbreeding with inferiors). Once he had it, he kept it by playing on their fears, playing up their hopes, and getting everyone to inform on each other. And lies... lies... lies.
Adolf Hitler
It wasn't after WW2, but WW1 that Hitler blamed the population you listed. A dictator needs to have groups that he makes into enemies so he can blame conditions on them.
Hitler blamed the Jews for Germanys economic failure. At first, his plan was not to exterminate the Jews but eventually that is what he decided to do, this is called "the Final Solution". 6 million people died in the Death Camps.
People are affected by economic problems because their is no work and there is no money to pay their expenses.
The German people
Hitler wanted WWII to happen. Germanys ecodomy was horible and he was angry at the people that made it that way. When Germany invaded Poland that's what really started it. After that Britain and France and other countries declared war. Which is exactly what Hitler wanted.
Germany had been in horrible economic shape- people were out of work, out of money, out of food. Hitler gave them the promise of better economic times, and restoration of pride in Germany.
There are a few problems with the unemployment and the economic health. The main problem is people not wanting to work.
He brought the country out of an economic depression and helped the people to begin manufacturing products again.
Well the German were facing political and economic troubles. Hitler blamed Jewish people for these problems. So Hitler convince the people that by persecuting the Jewish people this would fix there problem.I just learned it in school just so you know I am not making it up LOL =D
