Is it correct to say a block of rooms has been or have been reserved? Thank you. Cindy
I think the roman forts were quite dirty and must have been uncomfortable to live in.
When the emperor died he had two sons. Because when a man died, his belongings would go to his sons, the empire was divided in two halves. Each son of the roman emperor got a halve of the empire. If he would have had 3 sons, it would have been divided in 3 parts.
The Germanic kingdoms transformed the Roman world by destroying the western part of the Roman Empire. These were the kingdoms of the peoples who invaded this part of the Roman Empire or took over parts of if it after having been allowed to settle within the empire (the Franks and the Visigoths). The eastern part of the Roman Empire was not affected by these invasions and continued to exist for nearly 1,000 years.
I think St George is mythical: Certainly the dragon is ! He may have been Roman.

Villa Park, Birmingham has been the home of Aston Villa since 1897.
The wealthy Roman villa was nice and some houses today are built along the same building style. They were built in the shape of a square with a garden and fountain in the middle. When first entering a Roman house the visitors are in an anteroom that has murals painted on the walls. This was the public space. They would be facing the center gardens and on either side there would be long columned walkways with doors to rooms. There was art, plants, mosaics on the floors, and other decorations. In Nero’s palace he had gems in the ceilings so they reflected light and twinkled. I have been in several of these houses and would live in one without any hesitation. If you are on the west coast and in California the J Paul Getty Ancient art museum is a exact copy of a Roman house from Pompeii. I saw it in Pompeii and recognized it.
Not casinos as such- there might have been roulette wheels and facilities for playing 'blackjack' aboard, but these would have been located in the lounges and smoking rooms. There weren't casino rooms in their own right.
The Roman Emperor Hadrian died in 138 on the 10th of July , in his villa at Baiae at the age of 62 : the cause of death is believed to have been heart failure .
Heitor Villa-Lobos was born on March 5, 1887 and died on November 17, 1959. Heitor Villa-Lobos would have been 72 years old at the time of death or 128 years old today.
Yes, he was in the youth academy and been a Villa fan all his life.
In most case they would have rooms in the forge building. This would have been like a large barn.
Because our digital watches would have to be longer if we used the roman numerals?
