Great Britain did not allow the colonists to participate in government.
The Native Americans were promised protection against the 'Americans' but the British couldn't keep that promise because, as you probably know, we were beaten and were 'kicked out' of the country.
The Americans went to war with the British because they felt that the British were unfairly taxing them just to pay off their debts, which they were. The famous slogan: "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION" means just that. There were no people in the British Parliament to represent the Americans. Besides this, the Americans also wanted freedom as a separate country.
The English viewed the American colonies as a way to earn money. In this way, the British taxed the colonists and allowed them little freedom. The colonies didn't have any say on what decisions were made, and the decisions that were made were made across an ocean. They were constantly patrolled by British officers, the things that they produced were taxed for benefit of the British, etc. etc. Eventually, the colonists grew tired of being controlled by England and decided to rebel. Personally, I think the main reason that the colonists wanted to rebel was that they were a separate place - across an ocean! - and they wanted their own say into the decisions that affected them.

"The British Crown".
It was a war between the British, and the Dutch South African colonist.

Bluecoats were Colonial Americans. The British were the Redcoats. The Colonial Americans were British subjects who fought the mother country for their independence and won it after a revolution.
They had immediate access to the people in charge. The British had to send to England for orders. The colonist knew the land, knew where the food was and were supported by most of the locals. The British were in hostile country that did everything they could to make life harder.
The Native Americans were promised protection against the 'Americans' but the British couldn't keep that promise because, as you probably know, we were beaten and were 'kicked out' of the country.
Hebelieved that the Patriots had done nothing to help the British solve the crisis. He believed that the colonist should be more accepting of what the British wanted, since it was the parent country. He believed that the colonist were to quick to call for fighting. He also believed that the colonist should agree to be governed by Parliament and to pay British taxes. He believed that by refusing to obey British laws, the colonist had given up their right to protest. In addition, He believed Great Britain was stronger than the colonies and that it's army and navy would overrun them.
Patriotic Americans will say "Yes" to this question but the British and the rest of the world see it as a draw. It took the AmericansFrance,Spain,Dutch Republic,British themselves to reach a win/draw. against the British. The reason the British played a part in helping the US was because Americas first Army was created during the War and it was set up and trained by British troops who had turned on their own country.
