Antipater's original list included only structures known to the Greek civilization at that time. There is no historic proof that the Hanging Gardens of Babylon ever existed. The Temple of Artemis and the Statue of Zeus were destroyed by floods. The Lighthouse of Alexandria, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the tomb of Mausolus were destroyed by earthquakes. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only surviving Wonder.
The Great Pyramid is the only wonder of the ancient world that still remains mostly intact. the other 6 six have been destroyed by natural disasters.
The Sphinx is not considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. However, the Giza Pyramids in Egypt are one of the seven wonders.
