The Olympians are a group of 12 gods who ruled after the overthow of the Titans. All the Olympians are related in some way. They are named after their dwelling place Mount Olympus. They were:

Zeus- Poseidon- Hades- Hestia- Hera- Ares- Athena- Apollo- Aphrodite- Hermes- Artemis- Hephaestus.

Zeus is the lord of the skies, also known as god of lightning (maybe I'm most likely wrong) Poseidon is the god of the sea, creator of horses. Hades is the god of the Underworld. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, creator of the loom and the spider, her sign is the owl. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and fertility, her sign is the rose, and dating Ares, but her true love was Adonus. Hera is the goddess od marriage. Hephaestus is te god of blacksmiths. Ares is god of war, his sign is the boar. Hermes is god of thieves, and the messenger of the gods. Artemis is the goddes of the hunt. Appolo is the god of the sun and prophecies. And finally Dionysus is god of wine.
