What was art like in the 1920's?

Art in the 1920's had an amazing impact in the world. PAINTING AND SCULPTURE Many artists broke out from the European style of art because if you wanted a photo you could take a picture! So artists experimented with the new ways of seeing one development was abstract art. It was according to what the artists thought and it only contained shapes and colors but nothing could be seen in nature. Even architects, like artists wanted to break away from the old styles of building. They now believed that building should not be decorative but should look like what it was. They used new kinds of material such as: Concrete Glass Steal and new engineering techniques They Designed some new, interesting buildings, quite different from the old, earlier style Many cheap buildings were built by modern style but were not successful, specially those built after the second world war BY VRUDDHI VINAY KAPOOR

How has fashion evolved over the years?

Fashion has indeed evolved throughout the years. Fashion is like a big circle, syles come back, and then they go out of style once again. Ex: skinny jeans were a big hit in the 70s, today they're an even bigger hit! Fashion has changed in the sense of "the more updated look",but they still take the same concepts from back then to inspire new styles.

How did fashion in the 1960s compare to the fashion in the 1970?

In general, I've noticed that the 60s tended to focus on bright colors and geometrical prints. Hair styles were a bit stiff, (Think bouffants and Jackie Kennedy) and make-up was bold, especially with eyeliner. The transition into the 1970s was subtle, it began by channeling the bright colors of the 60s into the disco look of the 70s. I notice that flare pants, sequins, and looser hairstyles became popular. As the new decade progressed, fashion began to take a more casual turn. Hair took a more natural look, and sideburns/beards were back in style for men, and the disco style became toned down, resulting in what is considered to be the "70s hippie" look associated with guitar-playing, folk-singing American nomads.
