∙ 12y ago1/4 tons (M-151s) on the ground; Hueys (UH-1s)in the air. Swift boats in the on the rivers. For longer range transportation in South Vietnam the US Army's C7 Caribou was used. For even longer range work the C-130s & C-123s were utilized. CH47 Chinooks were also used for large groups of passengers.
