During the Cold War, which lasted (in varying degrees) from the 1950s into the 1980s, the primary adversaries were the United States and the Soviet Union. A host of other major nations along with many minor nations were also involved, as allies or associates, sometimes as protectorates, of the two primary powers at odds with each other.

None as such. The term Cold War indicates a period of conflict that didn't, at least in theory, have any fighting at all only political conflict.

If there had been any actual fighting by the protagonists of the cold war then it would have become a hot war.

There were many small wars during the cold war, some at least inspired by or engineered because of cold war political manoeuvrings .
