The term "caveman" is rather outdated nowadays; early humans were hunter gatherers and only occasionally visited caves. From what remains have been found, stone age people were much the same height as modern people up to the the 19th century - perhaps 10-20cm shorter than today.

They were about 5 feet and 5 inches tall. They were really strong. Even more strong than modern humans.
They are thought to have been 166 to 171 cm (about 5'5" to 5'7") tall.
Neanderthal wasn't a mere person, it was the name given to the Human Race before they'd gained any concept of civilization. Like today, there is far from a fixed height for the Neanderthals.

Scientists no longer use the term "Cro-Magnon", as this just refers to modern humans.

So your question would perhaps more accurately be: "What was the average size of early humans in Europe".

Neanderthal Man was one of the two principal varieties of primitive men we popularily call Cave Men.
