" 'a government of the people by the people and for the people' Nowhere is there a better, more concise statement of democracy."

==========

Uh, sounds more to me like a constitutional republic, in which even the minority have rights, is more of a government "of the people by the people" than a democracy in which only the majority mob has any rights...It really isn't hard to look up our founding fathers' opinion to find out why they hated a democracy and favored a republic, instead. All one has to do is Google founding fathers and republic versus democracy, and you'll see they all meant for our government to be a republic and not a democracy. If you guys don't trust the internet, you guys can always go to the library, but you'll still see their hatred for democracies. And no, we are not a republic/democracy. We are just a constitutional republic. At least, we were meant to be. Now, we are becoming more like a Dictatorship.
