Best Answer

If you mean early humans like Neanderthals, the had to move for food, shelter, weather as well as other factors. They were hunter. They would follow the migratory animals in their search for food. Although they gathered other vegetable food along the way, they never established agriculture until later. This agriculture allowed them to stay in one place and continue producing food. With agriculture came the idea of keeping animals for slaughter.
