He was succeeded by his son, King Edward II who reigned from 7th July 1307 to 20th July 1327.

He was succeeded by his son, King Edward III who reigned from 20th July 1327 to 20th June 1377.King Edward I ruled from 16 November 1272 until his death in 1307 - he was BORN in 1239 (on 17 June).

Only one - King James the 6th of Scotland was crowned James the 1st of England.

None of the others were kings previously.
