∙ 12y agoA lot of rain fell in a very short period in time, Boscastle is situated in a V-Shaped valley so it is easier for the water to pile up (flood), the River Jordan (the river which flooded) needs to pass through Boscastle to reach the sea, sothere was no stopping the flow of the river, a car blocked the flow of the water from the bridge so the water could not flow into the sea.
