An Artillery Battery in the Vietnam War contained 6 Field Guns or Self Propelled Guns. After the Vietnam War, the US Artillery Batteries went to 8 Artillery Systems per Battery. A Tank Platoon in the Vietnam War contained FIVE M-48 Patton Tanks; After the Vietnam War, Tank Platoons went to FOUR M-1 Abrams Tanks.
