∙ 13y agoAccording to the Vinland Saga, the Vikings made a small settlement and had some encounters with the Native Americans. The Vikings scared them away the first time, but the next time the Native Americans brought goods to trade, but the Vikings could not trade their weapons, due to a agreement. They traded milk goods the first time. The next time they came, one of the Vikings killed on of the Native Americans for trying to take one of their weapons. This caused a miniature battle, and the Vikings left, as they were outnumbered

Vikings explored North America to find new land for their colonies.

They probably did not want to settle there, with all the people arriving, and the struggling government. They probably werent even thinking about America at the time.
