I find some of Diamond's methodologies more compelling than others. The most compelling of Diamond's methodologies was comparing the intelligence of Western children versus New Guinea children. His use of natural selection to explain the differences in our societies is the most agreeable to me. When he explains how mostly only those with a higher intelligence pass on their genes in New Guinea, and how that is not a factor in Western selection (as seen on pg 21) I was able to get behind what he was saying because although it was partially based off of assumptions, it made sense.
