According to Gouldner's exchange theory, the social exchange is certain actions and obligations as a repayment of the benefits received. Norm of reciprocity obliges a person to give benefit to those from whom he has received them. It is likely to be found in any and every cultural system. To gouldner people should help those who have helped them and they should not harm or injure those who have helped them. He believes that social stability is in good measure the consequence of the mutual indebtedness of those who live by a norm of reciprocity. The norm of reciprocity requires that if others have been fulfilling their duties to you, you in turn have additional or obligation to fulfill your duties to them

Well, Alvin is the most popular who is awesome and all that stuff. Simon is the smart one of the whole group who gets the good grades and is the good one. Theodore is the adorable sweet one. Alvin and the chipmunks rule!
The popular answer is that it was a result of distinguished Prof. Alvin Gouldner's fist fight with grad student Laud Humphrey (over an insulting poster, and Humphrey's unethical dissertation methods), but I've heard that the administration was influenced by the econ dept to axe sociology to help solve a budget shortfall.
Alvin and I
Alvin is in the Alvin room in the clubhouse.
Alvin Seville because if you have seen grounded chipmunk Alvin says that he has never been alone except those 5 minutes before Simon was born. so who ever put Simon Seville was wrong. if Simon was the oldest then it would be Simon and the Chipmunk instead of Alvin and The Chipmunks.
