They used hyroglphics because they couldnt write the way we right. the hyroglyphics our differnt types of pharoas and some of animals like a cate their is an eye and a hoop and thats all i know of hyroglphics so far. Hyroglphics were also used in tombs say when your grandma dies they have their name on a grave but then they use hyroglphics in the tomb in remberance of them. One king scrapes his own mothers name off her tomb she was rammes. She was mureded by her own son what sort of a son is he.........
