The Framers thought a constitution was necessary to achieve these purposes because without a constitution, we would live in a state of nature( trauma noise) where there is no government or laws. The framers of the Constitution based their draft on several key plans, most notably the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan. The Virginia Plan proposed a strong national government with a bicameral legislature based on population, while the New Jersey Plan called for a unicameral legislature with equal representation for each state. Ultimately, they reached a compromise known as the Great Compromise (or Connecticut Compromise), which established a bicameral legislature with both proportional representation in the House and equal representation in the Senate. This hybrid approach aimed to balance the interests of both populous and smaller states.
The Constitution expressly requires that the President must be a natural born citizen of the United States, 35 years of age.

The framers based the new government on the concept of federalism because they believed the country needed a stronger central government, but that it was also important for states to retain rights and powers of their own. Under federalism, the federal government and state governments share power.
