Wilson was educated at home and at private schools in Augusta and Columbia, South Carolina, where the Wilsons moved when his father, Dr. Wilson accepted a position as a professor. In 1873 they moved again, to Wilmington, North Carolina where Wilson attended Davidson College. The following year he enrolled at the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University). In 1879, he entered the University of Virginia Law school, but dropped out after one year and studied law on his own.He passed the bar exam and in 1882 settled in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1883 Wilson relinquished his law career and entered the graduate school of Johns Hopkins University to earn a PhD degree in political science .

I would be surprised if any president was named for an elementary school. I would not be surprised if more elementary schools were named after Lincoln than any other president. The reason is that Lincoln was such a popular name for black schools before integration and is still a good name for any school, I think.
President Kennedy is not known to have made a statement one way or another about it. When he was president closing schools permanently was not the issue that it is today. He did not make any statement about schools closing for emergencies or weather, either, but it can be assumed that he wanted students to be safe and would want schools to close if driving was unsafe.
