None had an aspiration to be hero. Most were doing there job or following their internal convictions. The downside would be retelling an event that "made you a hero" and that event may be tragic and not one a person wants to relive. Most heroes downplay any advantages that may come with the title and are often uncomfortable in role. Some have gained fame and fortune but hardly ever because of self promotion, someone else see the possible advantages and approaches the "hero" to tell his/her story.
