Foot traffic,as well as you don't want the backs of employees facing customers.You also don't want cubicles that aren't glass,it makes you look like you have something to hide.Make filing accessable with room not only to roll out the files but be able to walk around someone with a cabinet open.Comfortable and ergonomic chairs are a must have.If your starting from scratch buy the top of the line state of the art stuff and watch it be retro in 10 years,you'll never seem to be able to keep up with the times unless you totally start from scratch you can't keep old phones,cabinets etc,you need to start off brand new,that will also cut down on the dust mites and paper bugs.

∙ 11y agoAn office layout ensures efficient utilization of office space, with minimal wastage and therfore reduces cost. Secondly having teams organized using a layout where people who confer more often are in the same part of the office helps better communication. An office layout also helps organize emergency evacuation procedures as well as plan for regular an timely maintenance.
Lastly having a planned and well laid out office adds to the energy of the folks in the office (no confusion - no negativity)
