The movement is based on the size and the speed that the meteor is going. A meteor that is big and going fast and heading toward earth could be deadly but if it id as simple as just a little shooting star then nothing can really go wrong. The fact of the matter remains it depends on size and speed and the way it is facing ex. it is constantly rotating or if it is just aiming with one end.
