Plane
Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519) made some drawings of aircraft that have subsequently been built and flown, but the first controlled powered flight was by Orville Wright, who took off on the 17th December 1903.
The correct term is 'flew in an airplane" because it means you were in the plane and on the plane means you were literally sitting on the fuselage of the plane.
There have been multiple Air Force Ones made for different presidents, but the first one was made in between 1938 and 1941 for Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was the first president to fly in an aircraft. This plane is on display at the Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio, and you are allowed to walk through it, and even look at the little elevator they used to get him in and out of the plane in his wheelchair.
