I think the common sense was something that Thomas Paine wrote. He wrote it in the 1700's. It was convincing to many people. It made the colonist who were Patriots give them curage to fight for their independence. The common Sense is a 48 long paged book. Thomas Paine wasn't the only one who wrote it, Benjamin Rush helped him write, publish, and edit the book. Benjamin Rush also thought of the name, common Sense. The colonist were fighting for their independence from Britan by the way. If it wasn't for Thomas Paine the colonist wouldn't of got their freedom from King George the 3rd. Thomas Paine wrote the famous pamphlet, Common Sense, in 1776. The pamphlet was about the need for the colonies to break away from English rule. It was written in clear language that the colonists could understand, because Paine understood the need for the cause of independence to be popular among the people.
