It is not clear whether George Washington ever went to school at all. He was apparently educated wholly or primarily at home, by his mother and later his half brother Lawrence. Today he would be referred to as "home schooled", though in his own time this was common enough not require a special name.

At all events, he certainly never attended College. His education was definitely over by age 16, when he worked on a team surveying the Fairfax lands in the Shenandoah Valley. The following year he went into the surveying business on his own account

Washington's older brothers were sent to England for their education, however Washington was not. Due to the death of his father it was no longer economically feasible to send him away. Therefore president George Washington never graduated

Thomas Jefferson started attending school in 1752. It was a school ran by a Scottish Presbyterian minister. He entered William & Mary college at the age of 16.
