∙ 10y agoThe 10th amendment establishes States Rights. This separates certain powers between the Federal Government and State Governments. It establishes that the Federal Government can only work with Federal Issues, such as defense, or civil rights and civil liberties. While laws pertaining to issues such as licenses, marriage, and alcohol consumption are state and even personal issues left up to the states or to the people to address.
