With the amount of men being sent to war many jobs ordinarily performed by skilled laborers were being performed by women and children. Industries flourished with the new need for weapons, vehicles, uniforms etc. The economic impact obviously was mostly negative, however in some cases industries profitted from it. Germany's economy was crushed by the war and after the treaty of Versailles was drawn post-war time Germany would be in economic strain for a long time. In fact Germany had a devastated economy up until Hitler rose to power. The treaty of Versailles meant Germany had to pay for the entire war damages, an impossible bill to pay.
They differed over who had power because of their interests; conservatives wanted traditional money related matter to be taken care of, foreign policies, and individual rights being limited and Liberals wants equality, help everyone, focus on our own economy, and personal reform.
