so that each can have their own responsibility and they will not interfere in every matter. It is an easy way to control the government because each branch knows what they are suppose to do and the burden of responsibilities is not on only one group.

I think we have 3 branches of government to prevent tyranny and so there will not be a lone dictator, because people didn't want a dictator.

One benefit of having different levels of government is that you can have checks and balances to ensure no one level gains too much power. In the United States, there are three branches of government.

If your talking about the different branches of government (legislative, judicial, and executive) then the reason why we have them is so no one branch gets too much power and becomes corrupt (balance of power). This is kept in check by a system of checks and balances.

Executive, Judiciary and legislature. They are there to distribute power evenly and they help organize the government by each level or branch doing their own job. The executive branch enforces the law the legislative branch makes the laws and the judical branch interprets the law.

Three sides make a triangle, and a triangle is one of the most stable structures. In the case of 3 branches in government, each keeps the other 2 from getting too much power and misbehaving. This is also a stable structure.

Generally a country will have two levels of government. National and local. Local government is often split into various levels such as states, counties, cities and towns etc.
There is increasingly international government, or at least international agreements and laws.

There are so many levels of government because there needs to be checks and balances among the government so no branch gets more powerful than another.

The separation and different levels of government were put in place by the Founding Fathers to avoid abuse of power by one branch over another.
