Each county in the United States must keep track of its registered voters, and on Election Day, they must confirm that each voter is who he/she claims to be, and that each registered voter votes no more than once per election. internet technology has not yet evolved to the point at which elections could be held online with absolute confidence that the integrity of the election process is maintained.

There's no doubt in my mind that it's just a matter of time.
