There is no reasonable reason to prevent a woman from being president. Several countries have had female presidents, In the United States there have been several female senators and state governors. It seems reasonable that one of them will move up to President at some point.

Women have been elected president in several countries but not yet in the United States. There are several women in Congress and serving as state governors.

Hillary Clinton came fairly close to getting the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, so it seems certainly possible that the US will elect a woman before long.

There should be a woman president only if a woman is the best available candidate. Likewise, if the best candidate is black, Asian, Hispanic, gay, or even of Albania extraction, then he or she should be President. I do not see any value in affirmative action or tokenism when it comes to choosing a President or your family doctor or any other position that matters.
