It has to do with the /r/ sound. He can only produce it laterally (in his case, at the right side of his mouth), particularly when proceeded by a stop consonant. He seems capable of producing an /r/ frontally if the 'r' is initial. I'm sure a speech therapist could give a more thorough analysis.
