Because idealists tend to think that the society we have today is completely wrong and must be totally overhauled and replaced in order to have a "perfect society." As far as I know, most people believe that society could use a lot of improvements, but it isn't necessarily bad and it doesn't need to be completely destroyed.

Men sometimes see women as being less responsible and strong and capable as men are. Which is the opposite of true. Women are just as capable as men. God created us all equal.
