The American Revolution is significant in the history of America. From 1763 to 1783, Americans declared their independence, waged a war of liberation, transformed the colonies into states, and created a new nation. The American Revolution was important because it separated England from the colonies. The colonies decided to separate from Britain because the parliament was taking away the rights of the colonists including and they broke the social contract binding them together.

The American Revolution was so important because the leads were due to the thoughts of bad taxation between the the colonies and Britain. The colonists began to boycott and protest for better taxation. A saying known about this is "No Taxation Without Representation." It is also how we became the states.

The American Revolution was the fight for independence from the British crown. If the Revolution had not taken place, the United States would not exist and we would still be a colony of the crown.
