It was the first election in which the incumbent party lost the presidential election.

To call that a "revolution" is quite an exaggeration. If anything, the peaceful transfer of power demonstrated that the Constitution was working as intended (more or less).

The election of 1800 is called the Revolution of 1800 because power changed hands without war. The Federalist Party had held powers since George Washington's first election in 1788.
