How did Ares die if he did die?

Ares can never literally die. No Greek god can stay dead forever. When a god dies, sooner or later a myth called "the mist" forms Ares back together, my point, gods live forever. So no, he did not die, and there was no time he died.

but a god may not die through mortal means
