∙ 13y agoIn order to save her youngest child, Zeus, from the fate of her other children (being swallowed by Cronus), Rhea, with help from Gaia, hid Zeus in a cave after she gave birth to him and presented to Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes (basically, it was a rock dressed as an infant would be). Cronus, believing it to be Zeus, promptly swallowed the rock.
