Well they though of them as humans with powers. So they had human feelings, things lie that. For example, when Zeus cheated on Hera with Leto she was very jealous and, of course, furious! She hunted Leto down banning her from giving birth on mainland. I am sure that humans would have done the same thing. Well maybe not the mainland part, but you get what I mean. Of course, for the Greeks, everything in daily life was by a god's or goddess's hand. So they saw them as the foundations of the Earth, without then, they would be nothing.
