You are allowed to believe in what you like: Avatars, Cinderella, Spiderman, Zeus...
The whole system of Greek myths were collected and put in writing in the 8th century BC. They were already very old, impossible to say how old.
I am an expert on Greek myths. Hades was banished to the Underworld by his brothers Zeus and Poseidon. He stayed there forever and is still there now if you believe in this stuff. Hades only got to come up from the Underworld during the winter solstice for an annual meeting of the Gods.

No, no, no, nonono, No. NO! They where greek gods, uh... they worshiped greek gods, if they worshiped at all, they where myths, made by people who lived a long long time before xtianity, and.... ok, lets put it this way,the greek gods where as christian as jehovah/yahweh/JHVH/The big bearded kahoona in the sky/the xtian god is a budhist. These are differant religions, the gods of one religion dont worship the gods of another.

There are many lessons taught by the tales of Greek Mythology. Some being not to be selfish. Others not to be so boastful because that can backfire... There are many lessons because each tale has a lesson to be learned within it's words.
