What are the Aztecs and what did they do?

The Aztecs were an early group of nomads who settled in (well not literallyin) the lake Texcoco in Middle America, Central Mexico. They were hired as mercenaries by the locals living there, and gained the locals' wealth, trading communications, and land. After that, they made a triple alliance with their neighbors and they defeated the locals. Then they burned their humble beginnings and made a new document that claimed that they were children of the Toltec bloodline. With that under their belt (not literally) they started building a magnificent empire where the locals once were. The Aztecs built a wonderful city with pretty man-made islands called chinampas. A highly clever people, the Aztecs were, and they did lots. They used calendars as well, they didn't make the calendar idea though; and the Aztecs performed a good deal of religious sacrifices. Animal for the most part.

Given that the Mesopotamian civilization is long gone, one cannot survey the locals; but given the proximity of local rivers, and the abundance of archeological evidence pointing to their proclivity for agriculture, FARMING is a good choice. :)

How did Rome different sections of its conquered territory?

The Romans maintained the stability and strength of their empire by respecting the peoples they conquered. They tolerated their religions and customs and allowed them to continue to worship them. They also allowed them to continue to use their customary laws at the local level, which they called mos regionis (regional traditions/laws of the land). They relied on the local ruling elites to run local affairs in the Roman provinces. This policy three advantages: ir reduced the risk of rebellion and fostered political and social stability; it facilitated the integration of the locals in the provinces (the conquered peoples) into the ideology and the economy of the empire and it reduced the administrative load (and the associated costs) of the provincial governors . It limited the job of the governors to defence and the maintenance of the legions stationed in the provinces, tax collection, the commissioning of public works and arbitration of disputes the locals were unable to settle themselves. A less tolerant policy would have led to rebellions and would have threatened the stability of the empire.

Who changed bc to ad?

back in the day when BC and AD had no meaning to anyone in the surrounding area of the known world; a little known Genevieve created an illusion for his grandson of four years of age. This illusion soon caught on with the locals around the Italian city Genoa and the splitting of the old world and the beginning of the new was duly noted by the pref-ex AD and suffix of BC. The realm of authority soon decided to accept this as an adage to their somewhat bleak future and AD caught on and has since become our standard of thought.

What was the British reaction of the Boston tea party?

In Boston, the arrival of three tea ships ignited a furious reaction. The crisis came to a head on December 16, 1773 when as many as 7,000 agitated locals milled about the wharf where the ships were docked. A mass meeting at the Old South Meeting House that morning resolved that the tea ships should leave the harbor without payment of any duty. A committee was selected to take this message to the Customs House to force release of the ships out of the harbor. The Collector of Customs refused to allow the ships to leave without payment of the duty. Stalemate. The committee reported back to the mass meeting and a howl erupted from the meeting hall. It was now early evening and a group of about 200 men, some disguised as Indians, assembled on a near-by hill. Whopping war chants, the crowd marched two-by-two to the wharf, descended upon the three ships and dumped their offending cargos of tea into the harbor waters. I hope this helped you!
