Acrisius puts these two in an old boat on the Mediterranean, hoping the will drown. Eventually they find themselves in the palace of King Polydectes, who wants to get rid of Perseus (now a grown man) in order to woo Danae. So he sends Perseus on a misson to kill Medusa, the terrible monster. and so on.
