That depends on who you ask. The Greek's of the era certainly believed so. They built temples and worshiped the gods and goddesses of their time. They dedicated their lives to be priests and priestesses. The people believed their crops, their marriages, their children's lives revolved around the gods and goddesses being happy. They had shrines in their homes and prayed at them regularly.

Like all religion there is no way to tell if it is real or if it is not real- "god" for example can be sort of proven as well as not.

All religions are real to its believers. However, since we call them myths, it denotes that we do not consider them real.

Another ViewIt is my belief that the Ancient Greek myths are similar to The Bible where they give examples of what the Gods are like, how they act, and that they are real. It is similar to the christian bible we cannot prove that the stories behind them are true (both the myths and the bible) but each teaches and enlightens the reader/listener about their religion and ways.
