Prior to his conversion, Paul was referred to as "Saul of Tarsus". Therefore it can be assumed he was born in Tarsus, although according to some sources, his parents came from Gischala, in Galilee. Tarsus was located in what is today south-central Turkey. Paul was an Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin. The date and year of his birth is not known, although dates such as 5 AD have been suggested.

We don't know when Cleopatra met Marc Antony. She could have been presented to him as a child when he helped recover her father's kingdom, she more than likely was introduced to him in Rome. However she did not actually know him, or else she would not have needed Delius to clue her in on Antony's character before the Tarsus meeting.
