No nobody has found the real or True Cross. Many have claimed that they found fragments. These were often put on show in what was known as a reliquary usually in an abbey church. Often miraculous powers were associated with them and people would come from all over to pray at the reliquary. The monks charged the pilgrims for the priveledge and became very rich on the proceeds. In the early 16th a certain German monk got pissed off with all this his name was Martin Luther.
