Who is the Greek Goddess Gaea?

The Greek goddess Gaea is literally the earth. She is known as "Earth Mother" "Mother Earth" or as we would know her, "Mother Nature". She is one of the original gods in Greek mythology. She came from Chaos and had many children my herself and also with her son Uranus. The main story of Gaea is that Gaea came from Chaos, Gaea gave birth to Uranus, from Uranus and Gaea can the titans, cyclops, and the hecatoncheires. Uranus then locked his children in the underworld but then Cronus, the youngest of the titans, went with Gaea and castrated Uranus and from Uranus' genitals that were thrown into the sea came Aphrodite. When Cronus did this to his father, Uranus said that one of Cronus' sons would overthrow him so when Cronus and his sister Rhea had children he swallowed all of them until his sixth child whom Rhea hid and swaddled a stone in cloth so Cronus ate it. That sixth child was Zeus. Zeus and Rhea gave Cronus something which caused him to throw up the rest of his children. They were not dead because they were Gods. Zeus then overthrew his father.

What is the roman god for the planet Uranus?

There isn't one. Uranus is "Father Sky" in Greekmythology (or Ouranos [pronounced or-ah-no-s]). He was both the son and husband of Gaea, Mother Earth. They were the ancestors of (at least) most Greek gods.

Where did the oigan of Uranus come from?

The origin of the name of the eighth planet in our solar system comes from an ancient greek myth. Ouranos(Uranus in Latin) ruled over the sea and was married to Gaea, who ruled over the earth. Their children were the titans. Gaea convinced her son, Kronos, to cut his father into tiny pieces. Kronos was also the father of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia.

Does Uranus have a brother or a sister?

Where Uranus is the son and mate of Gaea, any child of hers would be his sibling. Including those children they had together. Nyx is sometimes told to be the mother of Uranus, and thus his siblings would be Aither/Hemera. Aither and Hemera are also said to be father and mother of Uranus, where then his sisters would be Gaea and Thalassa. Chronus/Ananke are also given as parents. So too is Acmon/Aither.
