Cleopatra was very important she is still important today she is the most beautiful, rich , royal, and generous person in the history of Egypt. At least that's what myth says about her. In reality, Cleopatra was a minor queen of a crumbling dynasty. She ruled a rich country on the fringes of the Roman empire and tried to use her wealth to keep Egypt independent. Her arrogance caused her to overreach and bring disaster to herself and her country.

Discovered by who or what? If any organism can "discover" the "first country", then it could be any prokaryotic cell from the beginning of earth. There weren't "countries" then, although maybe we could say Pangaea. If you mean humans however, then we could point to the most widely accepted model of recent African origin of modern humans (or more commonly Out-of-Africa model), in which archaic Homo sapiens evolved out of Africa. Albeit Africa is not a country, it is the first area humans occupied.

This is quite hard to answer without a definition of influential. Many Buddhists practise alone without any external signs of being a Buddhist. So for example if the President of a large country was a Buddhist would this make Buddhism influential even if he was the only Buddhist?
Today, Buddhism is found in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, China, etc, and in some parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal, also in the European countries and the USA. It is believed that the Buddhist population of the world is over 500 million.
Buddhism appealed to all social classes, but probably least to the Brahmins, the priestly caste.
While "officially" Buddhism may not be a leading religion in many western countries it is among the quickest growing. Buddhist thought permeates much of western society - children at schools often start the day with a period of "mindfulness" derived from Buddhist practice, people often speak of the karmic value of certain activities, Zen koans are often written out as inspirational plaques. Vegan, vegetarian and anti animal cruelty groups are common.
