Ancient Greece had 1500 city states. The capitol of Greece was Athens. Sparta was the best city state military wise.

5.They fought the Trojans in the Trojan war.
In Athen's (a city-state in Ancient Greece) they developed the first Democracy government. Sparta mainly focused on war. Ancient Greece city-states fought against the Trojans in the Trojan War and defeated them by making a wooden horse that the Trojan's thought to be a gift from the gods but at night Greeks sneaked out of the horse and attacked the Trojan's from the inside of the walls.

They influenced the Roman Empire, who influenced the American empire, they worshiped many gods including Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. They were conquered by the Romans, they fought along side Sparta against the Persians, they were one of the first and most famous civilizations starting in 7th millennium BC. they started the Olympics, their capital was ans still is Athens.
