I've recently done a project on Ancient Greece and I've learn that there are more similarities and differences there than Ancient Greece being BC and Australia being AD. Even this is not exactly true because the legacies of Ancient Greece live on todayHere are some similarities:Both participate/d in the OlympicsBoth are have citizensHere are some differences:Every Aussie is a citizenIn Ancient Greece, only upper class men could be citizens
There were many cities that were important to ancient Greece. Some of these include Athens, Sparta, Corinth, as well as Argos.
Some of the finest buildings in ancient Greece were the Parthenon, the temple of Zeus in Olympia, the temple of Hera in Olympia, the temple of Artemis, the temple of Posideon at Sounion, the Erechtheum, and the Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae.
They read the ancient writings and carried their ideas forward. With the development of the printing press books became cheaper and easier to get. People like da Vinci collected the published writings of ancient authors and added to them in his own thinking. The ancient paintings also influenced Renaissance art showing some themes of Ancient Rome and Greece.
