Ancient Roman clothing was basically the tunic and toga. The tunic was a loose fitting long shirt and had the advantage of being cool in the summer and because of its oversize, two or three could be worn in the winter for warmth. The toga, too was another layer for warmth. As the toga grew in size, it had the advantage of having its back fold deep enough to be drawn up over the head for added warmth and to keep light rain off. The toga also had a front fold that could be used as a pocket. Its disadvantage was that it was difficult to walk or move as it was draped down to ground level.

Many advantages. Take the guys first. How many men would like to go around in a tunic? How many guys would tolerate the restrictive movements of a toga? Even the ancient Romans discarded the toga except on formal occasions. Can you imagine a guy trying to use a urinal and fighting with his toga at the same time?

The women have many advantages. Roman women's tunic/dresses were long. The palla reached below ankle length. The hem of a woman's clothing was always dirty from outside wear. The women's basic style of dress did not change. A lady showed her status by the fabric and decoration of her basic dress and her hairstyle. Women did not have the freedom of movement that slacks or jeans give them.

Did argos have any advantages in the ancient olympic games in Greece?

argos did have some minor advantages in the ancient Olympic games. Their athletes had a ton of muscle, and were stronger than most athletes. Their athletes were trained in the arts and sciences. However, just because they were strong does not mean that they always won the Olympic games. Their biggest rivals were Sparta and Athens. Anyways, because their athletes were strong, they could easily crush their equals, the athletes from Corinth, a seaside city-state. Also, since they were trained in the sciences and arts, they always had a complicated plan of how to win a game. So, those were basically the advantages Argos had. Even though Argos did not have many advantages in the Ancient Olympic Games, their two advantages did go a long way.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of electric burners as oppose to gas burners?

Electric burners have the advantages of reducing fire hazard due to the lack of open flame, not needing to have a gas line to run the burner, and eliminating the risk of a gas leak from the burner. The disadvantages of an electric burner are a longer heat-up time for the burner, less precision when cooking since the burner takes longer to respond to changes in heat setting changes, and the risk of burn since the burner surface stays hot relatively longer after shut-off.
